Youngs Sports Academy Limited t/a Youngs Football Academy (“We” or “YFA”) are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

This policy (together with our Terms of Use, Membership Agreement and any other documents referred to) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us.  Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. In providing us with your personal data, you accept that you have read and agreed to this privacy policy.

For the purpose of the General Data Protection Regulations 2016 (the Act), the data controller is Youngs Sports Academy LTD, Registration number 08457878, is registered, and trades at 114 Lakenheath, London, England, N14 4RX. Youngs Sports Academy LTD is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZA721375

Information we may collect from you

1.1 We may collect and process the following data about you:

  • Information that you provide by filling in forms on our site www.yfcschool.co.uk (our site). This includes information provided at the time of registering via our site as a member (your name, address, email, contact number, date of birth) or requesting further services. We may also ask you for information when you report a problem with our site or our services.
  • If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our third party payment provider. However, YFA does not have access to your payment card details.
  • Details of the bookings you make through our third party booking engine.
  • Details of your visits to our site including, but not limited to, traffic data, location data, weblogs and other communication data, and the resources that you access.
  • Photographs and video footage taken while you and your children are attending our classes or events. Please inform us if you do not wish us to use such data.
  • Records of your attendance at classes and events
  • Membership numbers and history
  • We collect the names and dates of birth of your children in order to provide our services to you and your children. In providing us with this data, you confirm you have the authority to do so as parent or legal guardian and you hereby consent to our use of your children’s personal data under the terms of this Privacy Policy.
  • We also collect health data about you which you provide to us when you join as a member using the PARQ questionnaire in order that our instructors can ensure any exercises are appropriate for you.

1.2 IP addresses

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

  1. Cookies
    1. For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on your browser or the hard drive of your computer.
    2. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. Some of the cookies we use are essential for the site to operate.
    3. Cookies are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site.
    4. You block cookies by activating the setting on your browser which allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be to access all or parts of our site. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies as soon you visit our site.
  2. Where we store your personal data
    1. The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). In particular, your data will be transferred and stored by our third party booking engine and payment provider in order to process your bookings and payment details. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
    2. All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. Where we have given you a password, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
    3. Unfortunately however, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
  3. Uses made of the information
    1. We use information held about you in the following ways:
  • To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts (i.e. membership agreement) entered into between you and us.
  • To allow you to participate in features of our service, when you choose to do so
  • To notify you about changes to our service.
  • We may inform you about new services or changes to existing services via SMS if you have consented to this.
  1. If you do not want us to use your data in this way, please do not tick the relevant box consenting to our emails. Alternatively you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.
  2. Disclosure of your information

5.1 We may disclose your personal information to any individuals within our organisation.

5.2 We may disclose your personal information to third parties:

  • Those third parties involved with us in providing the services to you, including but not limited to: our partner venues, instructors, booking engine provider, payment provider, businesses that provide discounts to our members, other YFA companies within the YFA network of clubs.
  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
  • If YFCS or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms of Use or Membership Agreement and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of YFA, our members, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

6.1 You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by ticking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data or unsubscribing at any time.  You can also exercise the right at any time by contacting us at hello@yfcschool.co.uk Be aware if you unsubscribe from our emails we will not be able to provide the membership services to you (i.e. inform you of timetable changes or classes/events).

6.2 Our site contains links to and from the websites of our partners, other YFA companies or other third parties.  If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies.  Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Please contact us by email if you wish to have access to information, we hold about you.
