Young’s Takes a Trip to Marlborough Primary School

On Thursday 2nd May Youngs Football Coaching School was invited down to Marlborough Primary School in Harrow.

This was an eventful and fun-filled day for the year 4’s, 5’s and 6’s as they were able to show off their superb football skills to our coaches and have a lot of fun whilst doing so.

The day started with an assembly in which we introduced ourselves to the children, and their teachers. This allowed them to find out  about exactly what we have to offer here at Youngs. Our short assembly included details of our current centres, the history of Youngs, video footage of some of current season highlights, parent and teacher testimonies and highlighted the different schools we have to offer (you can read more about them here). We feel that this presentation was a good representation of  Youngs Football Coaching School and all the greatness it has to offer.

After the assembly the Year 5 and 6 students of Marlborough gave our coaches (Coach Keith, Coach Mitch and Coach Steve) a very warm welcome as we held a coaching session with them. Our coaching sessions focused on teaching them basic drills, helped them improve their dribbling and other football basics.

We hope to return soon following a potential partnership with the school and also to allow the younger year groups to experience a Youngs training session.

Thank you to Headteacher Mrs Byron, Mr Lumley and all the members of the PE department for making this day possible and allowing it to run smoothly.
